A Parent's View of Ed-SPLOST

An interesting take on the proposed Ed-SPLOST from a concerned tax payer.

"The sales tax component gets all the attention! What we need to do is find a way to make people understand  that when they vote "yes"  to Ed-SPLOST, they are voting to keep us in debt, not to pay it off! I would vote yes to a splost if it was to only pay off debt they have already put us in! I will not vote for an Ed-SPLOST that ties on a right for them to spend more! In these economic times our leaders need to learn the word NO when it comes to spending! And it's infuriating for them to even suggest raising our property taxes to get the money while our property values have gone down!"

Our question is, will all voters realize that they are authorizing long-term debt that makes it difficult to ever discontinue the Ed-SPLOST?
