AJC Puts C.C. Millage Rate "Ruckus" on Metro Front Page

Jeffrey Scott is busy in C.C. On the front page of Sunday's Metro section, a long and detailed article on the outcry against any kind of tax increase and calls for more cuts in spending.  Sound familiar?   A new 9 member panel called the "Group Research and Recommendations Committee to Assist County Government" will be looking into the county government and looking for places to cut. I know Cherokee Parents for Choice might have a few suggestions.

  1. I am sure the Tea Party will have a lot to say about this.

  2. It would be great if CCSD would do this as well - what a great idea! Then, when the Board presents it's budget to the taxpayers, we know it's been publicly scrutinized...will it happen? No way.

  3. @Nick. Excellent point. How come we never know how the SPLOST money is to be spent? Is it true that they only want it to try to pay the interest on the mounting debt?
