Jeffrey Scott spent weeks researching the grass-roots efforts of our group, the politics of SPLOST and the Cherokee Charter vote. The final article came out in the AJC on Friday, August 26th. Of course, Mr. Scott chose to included the most sensational quote we gave him from Kelly Marlow. We suppose that is what sells papers, but Cherokee Parents for Choice opposes SPLOST for many reasons. Of course we don't like that the CCSB shortsightedly opposed the only charter school in the county, but more importantly, they have shown in the past 10 years that they know little about financial management. Just like the feds, they want us to throw money at people who have shown they cant manage our money. Now our fearless leaders want to renew SPLOST so they an build themselves a new Administration building. How does that help the teachers and students of Cherokee County? We say "No to SPLOST" and we mean it!
