Cherokee Tribune Columnist Loves SPLOST & Touts P.

Once again the Cherokee Tribune has shown their biased in favor of the "old school policies of overspending and mismanagement".

Mr. Conkey, you are misinformed.  P. does not deserve all the credit for taking this "rural school system and transforming it into one of the top three schools systems in Georgia, and one of the finest school systems in the nation."  What statistics did you use to come up with that statement?  I have three letters for you, A.Y.P.!

What in the world is this guy thinking?

  1. Not to be prejudiced, but look at his picture. How many kids do you think he currently has in a CCSD school? He has no vested interest in making the schools better. And, I've said this SO many times, who cares if we are one of the top 3 schools in GA, or even if we're the BEST school in GA - in reality, the WORST school in Florida is better than ANY school in GA!

  2. A. He's a "retired agricultural economist". I.E. An out of work farmer. I've got nothing but respect for farming but he's got zero qualifications to speak for education, other than obviously being an extremely close friend of bloated gov't agent Dr. P.

    B. I love how he says (without providing qualification) that CCSD is "one of the finest school systems in the nation" but then immediately follows that by pointing out "..how low Georgia is rated in national school comparisons"

LOL - this is what passes for journalism? This retired farmer clearly spent too much time in the sun.
